After many years of slow decline, the Union Avenue Historic District became the focus of developers and small business people as an ideal area for restoration and establishment of a thriving destination Shopping and Recreation area. Today it is a prime destination for Shoppers, Tourists and Investors. The end result is the creation of Up-scale shops, cafes, and prime Loft and office spaces and the magnificently restored Union Depot, pictured here.

The Historic Pueblo Business Center Association (H.P.B.C.A.) is sponsoring on Friday April 12, 2002, from 5 P.M. - 9.00 P.M. A Gala Dinner, Reception and Poster Signing at the Historic Union Depot, 100 block W. B St. This exclusive evenings entertainment will include Tours of Lofts and Office Spaces which have been beautifully restored. Cost is $50.00 per person for Reception, Dinner and 2 Loft Tour tickets. Additional tours will be held on April 13, 14, 20 and 21. These tour tickets will cost $10.00 Per person , after April 12 tickets will be $15.00.
In addition participating District merchants will be hosting Open Houses and showing works of art by Local artists. Avanyu Southwest Art will be showing Wood Turnings by Tom Frink, Feather Paintings by Karen Kim Costello and original Southwestern Art Mirrors by John Demas and Scott Orf. Open House hours are April 12, 5 to 9 P.M. and 11-5 April 13, 14 20 and 21.
